KSSIA achieves revised QuotasKSSIA has laisoned with the Electricity Regulatory Commission regarding irregularities in quotas for new LT consumers and has effected an order with revisions on quotas for new LT IV consumers. A brief note on the revision order can be found here. Dear members, We are pleased to inform you that the Regulatory Commission has revised the quotas for new LT consumers. The abstract of the Order is as under. Base average consumption for the new LT consumers other than domestic consumers for whom power restrictions shall be applicable would be refixed as 105 Units / KW of connected load. By imposing restrictions of 20% the quota for such consumers will be fixed 84 KW/ unit/ month. In the case of consumers who have taken additional load on after 01-04-2008 the base average of 1.5 units / KW shall be applicable for the portion of the additional load and quota shall be fixed accordingly. Existing consumers (prior to 01-04-2008) who did not have adequate consumption or nil consumption in any period during 2007-2008, the average shall be worked out similar to the method followed for HT-EHT consumers however if such average is below 105 units KW, norm of 105 units / KW shall be applied and quota fixed accordingly.
